Monongahela Power Fuel
Vantage Consulting, Inc. was selected to
conduct a management/performance assessment of the fuel
procurement policies and practices of Monongahela Power Company
(MPC), a subsidiary of Allegheny Power System (APS). This review
covered 2 one-year assessment periods from August 1, 1994 to July
31, 1995, and August 1, 1995 to July 31, 1996.
The overall objective of this
management/performance assessment is to develop a sound basis of
information regarding MPCs policies and practices related
to fuel and purchased power during the designated time frames.
This information and evaluation assisted the PUCO in hearings to
rule upon the reasonableness of MPCs rates.
